It All Begins With A Conversation...
Brothers and co-founders, Caleb and Jacob Reinmüller begin the process in Toronto, Ontario by sitting down with a book they like to call the fabric Bible. This book contains thousands of silk swatches sourced from Zhejiang,China.
Made In China? We're Proud of it
History
Zhejiang, an eastern coastal province in China, is where the earliest evidence of silk production was discovered, dating back to 4000 BCE.
Experience
Plainly then, with over 6000 years of silk production under their belt, it is no wonder Zhejiang is one of the finest regions in the world to source high quality hand-woven silk.
Consistency
This province’s experience, rich history and consistent quality in producing silk is the reason why all Reinmüller silk is sourced and crafted in Zhejiang.

Exquistely Designed
While perusing the fabric Bible Caleb and Jacob discuss collection ideas. Each Reinmüller tie collection contains a transcending theme. This theme is then expressed individually throughout each tie in a selection. For example, each tie within the Reinmüller Back To Front collection features a quirky yet fashionable tipping. Therefore, the transcending theme of this collection is each tie’s unique emphatic tipping.

Fabric
After a collection’s name and theme are decided, fabric selection begins. On occasion, stock fabrics produced in Zhejiang, China feature such elegant designs that they are incorporated into Reinmüller collections. However, a majority of the time fabrics are hand drawn and designed in Toronto, Ontario by a local artist. The designs are then sent to Zhejiang where they are printed or woven into a premium weaved silk.
Crafted to Last
Reinmüller ties are designed and produced by sequentially following two company values; beauty and longevity. It’s rare to ever see the words beauty and longevity in the same sentence because as humans we generally expect that as our physical belongings age and are used, their beautiful appearance declines. However, Reinmüller ties are crafted with a wool interlining and premium grade silk, ensuring that as our ties age and are worn they remain just as beautiful as the day they were purchased.
